Privacy and Cookies Statement
This website is operated on behalf of Attestor Capital LLP, Blackrock Financial Management, Inc., CQS (UK) LLP, and Pacific Investment Management Company LLC (the "Coordinators"). This privacy and cookies statement provides visitors to the website, and particularly those who provide their contact details through the Contact page, with information about the Coordinators' use of their personal information and related matters.
What and how information is collected
We collect contact information about you through the Contact page and use it to respond to messages that you submit and (if you tick the relevant box) send you our newsletters. We will not use this information for any other purpose unless we are required to do so by law. We rely on your consent to use your information – you can contact us at any time to let us know that you no longer wish to receive our newsletters or retain your contact details (see Questions or Complaints below).
Information distribution
The information you provide to us is collected by the Coordinators. It will be shared with third party service providers involved in the hosting or operation of the website. Otherwise, we will not disclose your contact information to anyone unless we are required to do so by law.
Our third party service providers holding your contact information on your behalf may be in the U.S. or elsewhere, including in countries (such as the U.S.) not determined by the European Commission to ensure adequate protection for personal data. In these cases, your information will be protected by data transfer agreements in the appropriate form approved for this purpose by the European Commission.
Retention and deletion
We will delete your contact information if you ask us to do so (see Questions or Complaints below). Otherwise, we will delete your information five working days after we receive a message from you, unless you ask us to send you our newsletters. In that case, we will delete your information when we cease producing our newsletters or, at the latest, two years after you submit your information.
Your data privacy rights
You have rights under data protection law to be provided with copies of the personal information that we hold about you, to require us to correct them if they are inaccurate and, in some circumstances, to require us to delete them or limit the way in which we use them to a bare minimum. Of course, these rights have only limited relevance in this context, where we hold very little information about you and will delete it on request.
Use of cookies
What are cookies?
This website, in common with most other websites, uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that web servers can store on your computer’s hard drive when you visit a website. In this case, we use a "website analytics" cookie (which we describe further below) and a permanent cookie which reminds us that you have agreed that we can use cookies.
Cookies are stored on your computer – they’re not associated with an individual, just with the browser that’s being used. That's why information you may view on your work computer isn’t remembered when you go home.
Session or persistent cookies
Some cookies are session cookies. This means they’re deleted when you close your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari etc.). These are the cookies typically used when you log into a bank or make an online purchase.
Other cookies are persistent. This means they remain on your computer until they expire. This can be a fixed time after you have visited the website (e.g. one year) or a particular date (e.g. 31 December 2017). These cookies are used to remember information between visits to a website.
Website analytics
We use third party website analytics providers to monitor visitor traffic to our site to supply website reporting and analytics. This gives us information about the pages on our site that visitors view, where our visitors come from (for example, whether they were directed to our site by a search engine), how long they choose to stay on the site, the types of browsers they use and so on.
We use this information to enhance our website offering so we can give our users the best possible experience on the site, and to monitor the effectiveness of our marketing activities. However, this information is provided in anonymised, aggregate form only. It doesn’t enable you or your activity on our site to be individually identified.
Google Analytics
The Coordinators' website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics sets a cookie in order to evaluate your use of our website. The information collected by Google Analytics helps us to understand how people use our website, what technologies they use, whether they have followed a link or carried out a search to find the site and which pages are most popular. It does not give us individually identifiable information about your interaction with the site.
Google stores the information collected by the cookie on servers in the United States. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your Internet Provider (IP) address with any other data held by Google. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
To find out more about the Google Analytics cookie and to reject or delete this cookie, you can visit the Google Privacy site at google.com/intl/en/privacypolicy.html
As the means by which you can do this varies from browser to browser, please follow the instructions provided by the specific browser you use (usually located under the ‘Help’, ‘Tools’ or ‘Edit’ function).
Alternatively, an external resource is available at aboutcookies.org which provides comprehensive information about cookies and how to manage them to suit your preferences on a wide variety of browsers. You’ll also find details on how to delete cookies from your computer (including those from this visit) as well as more general information about cookies. To find out how to do this on the browser of your mobile device, you’ll need to refer to your handset manual.
